Many years ago, I was fascinated to probably huge mystery, the universe. In year 2007 started to local astronomy course (Gemini, Prostějov observatory) and bought my first telescope to observe of near universe.

The first telescope was a refractor 80mm, then 100mm fitted with simple WebCamera for stacking video of planets/moon. I also created some device to enable automatic mount movement with stepper motor.

After a few years my interest unfortunately waned, because I needed some money for other hobby and sold the telescopes.
Nowadays bring new opportunities and with publications of Petr Horálek my interest about this Astronomy hobby has returned.

I recently discovered a new trend in astronomy, the Smart Telescopes. From first view I was very skeptical, because „black box“ with small 30mm optics looks not so confidently.

After further checking and share the pictures I change my mind, we can take the pictures which look similar from big telescopes with profi CCD cameras. Of course, there is a limitation with picture resolution and detail quality, but for begineers is deep sky astrophoto is ideal start.

I would never have believed that after the first use and a stacked exposure of 40 minutes, I could take a picture like this. For peoples who dont have so much time and money, and good observing place for professional astrophotography, this device looks ideal.

The device is Seestar S30 manufactured by ZWO, it is all-in-one astrophotography telescope, so You dont need any acessories and it is very small.
Device is comprises by Apochromatic triplet optics (30mm aperture, f/5, 150mm f.l.), Sony lMX662 chip, wide-angle lens for daylight tracking, electronics with inluded 6A/h batery, wifi and full control of telescope...only for 349 USD !
